Clear Answers. Confidential Support. A Path Forward.

Reaching out for substance use treatment can feel overwhelming, especially when you are also trying to understand program options, availability, insurance, or cost. Meridian Health Services is here to make the first steps as clear and supportive as possible.

Our admissions team helps individuals, families, healthcare professionals, and community partners understand available services and determine the most appropriate next step. We provide admissions support for detoxification and withdrawal management, residential treatment, outpatient services, and medication treatment.

During the admissions process, our team will ask confidential questions about current needs, health and substance use history, safety concerns, insurance or funding, and the type of support being requested. This information helps us determine whether Meridian can provide the appropriate level of care and what may be required before admission.

Calling does not commit you to treatment. It is an opportunity to ask questions, learn about options, and begin identifying a path forward.

Get started: Call Meridian Health Services at 248-599-8999 x1 to speak with the admissions team. If someone is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

How We Can Help

  • Explain Meridian’s programs and levels of care
  • Complete an initial confidential screening
  • Discuss current availability and possible admission timing
  • Review insurance, Medicaid, other funding, or self-pay pathways
  • Explain any authorization, referral, or medical-clearance requirements
  • Provide preparation and arrival instructions when admission is scheduled
  • Coordinate with referral sources when appropriate and authorized
  • Help identify another resource when Meridian is not the appropriate level of care

Choosing the Right Level of Care

Treatment needs are different for every person. The appropriate program depends on current substance use, withdrawal risk, medical and mental health needs, safety, daily functioning, recovery environment, and prior treatment experiences.

An admissions screening is an important first step, but final placement may require additional clinical assessment, medical evaluation, insurance authorization, or coordination with a public behavioral health access system.
