Medication Treatment Admissions
Medication treatment can be an important part of care for opioid use disorder or alcohol use disorder. Meridian provides individualized assessment and ongoing clinical oversight to determine whether medication is appropriate and which option may best support each person’s recovery goals.
Medication options may include methadone, buprenorphine, Vivitrol, Sublocade, or Brixadi, depending on clinical needs, program availability, medical recommendations, and coverage requirements.
The admission process may include:
- A confidential screening and appointment scheduling
- Review of substance use, withdrawal risk, treatment history, and current medications
- Medical and clinical assessment
- Laboratory testing or other medical requirements when indicated
- Review of insurance, Medicaid, funding, or self-pay options
- Education about medication choices, program expectations, and informed consent
- Development of an individualized treatment plan with ongoing monitoring
Medication decisions are made collaboratively and are based on medical assessment—not on a one-size-fits-all approach. The admissions team can explain which medication treatment services are currently available and any steps required before the first appointment.
