Communication & Boundary Setting
Healthy communication and boundaries are essential components of recovery for both clients and loved ones.
Many families affected by addiction experience:
- Difficulty communicating effectively
- Emotional exhaustion or resentment
- Cycles of enabling or codependency
- Conflict, mistrust, or unresolved trauma

This portion of the Family Program focuses on helping loved ones:
- Communicate more clearly and effectively
- Set healthy, appropriate boundaries
- Develop realistic expectations
- Reduce unhealthy patterns
- Support recovery while maintaining personal wellbeing
Boundaries are not about punishment — they are about safety, consistency, and emotional health for everyone involved.
Families are encouraged to focus not only on their loved one’s healing, but also on their own growth and recovery process.
