Outpatient Admissions

Outpatient services allow individuals to receive treatment while continuing to live in the community. The admissions process begins with a phone conversation to understand the reason for seeking care, current concerns, schedule needs, and any referral or insurance requirements.

The process may include:

  • An initial phone screening
  • Scheduling a clinical assessment
  • Reviewing insurance, funding, or self-pay options
  • Obtaining a referral or authorization when required
  • Determining the recommended type and frequency of services
  • Scheduling the first appointment and providing location or telehealth instructions, when applicable

A clinical assessment helps determine whether Meridian’s outpatient services are appropriate and which services best match the individual’s needs. Recommendations may include individual counseling, group services, substance use treatment, co-occurring mental health support, care coordination, peer recovery support, or referral to another level of care.
